In Tahlequah, Oklahoma, at the Bright Future Group Home, fifteen-year-old Isaac Sixkiller stands at a crossroads between broken pasts and hopeful futures. Tossed into the turbulent waters of a new home after a life marred by his parents’ drug addiction and a series of unforgiving foster homes, Isaac clings to his art—the one true escape he’s ever known.

As Isaac navigates the challenges of his sophomore year and the complex dynamics of his new living situation, he encounters Gabriel Lopez, a fellow resident whose kindness begins to crack the walls Isaac has built around himself.
